We Built my-lghealth.com So Everyone Can Understand Their Health

Medical documents shouldn't require a medical degree to understand. MyLGHealth is on a mission to make health information accessible to everyone, in any language.

Our Story

Born From a Simple Frustration

Most people receive lab reports and prescriptions they simply cannot understand. Medical jargon, complex values, and confusing dosage instructions leave patients feeling lost and anxious.

We built my-lghealth.com to bridge this gap. Using the power of AI, MyLGHealth translates complex medical documents into plain, simple language — instantly, privately, and in the language you understand best.

Your health information belongs to you. You deserve to understand it — that is why MyLGHealth exists.

FOUNDER

The Vision Behind mylghealth

Dr. Lynn A. Brody — Founder & CEO of MyLGHealth

We built MyLGHealth after seeing how confused patients get when they receive lab reports or prescriptions they cannot understand. My LG Health exists to change that, giving every person the ability to understand their own health, in their own language, instantly and privately.

MyLGHealth’s prescription summary reads the entire document and translates each medication into plain language — what it’s for, exactly how much to take and if written on the paper,

And any side effects worth knowing about. It’s the explanation your pharmacist would give you if the line behind you wasn’t twelve people deep.

Cardiovascular disease is now the leading cause of death globally, killing 19.2 million people annually — more than all cancers combined. The conditions that contribute to those deaths (atherosclerosis, hypertension, stroke) are detectable through lab work years before symptoms appear, but only if the patient actually understands what their lipid panel is telling them. When MyLGHealth reads a lipid panel, it doesn’t just list the numbers back to you. It explains what each marker measures, whether your specific values fall within healthy ranges, and what combinations of results might warrant a follow-up conversation with your doctor about cardiovascular risk.

Thyroid panels create a similar problem. TSH, Free T3, Free T4 — these values interact with each other in ways that a single “normal” or “abnormal” flag can’t capture. A TSH of 4.2 might be flagged as within range by one lab and out of range by another because reference intervals vary. What patients need isn’t just the flag — they need someone to explain that a borderline TSH combined with fatigue, weight gain, and cold sensitivity is a pattern worth investigating, even if the number technically falls within the reference window. MyLGHealth explains these results in that kind of context, connecting the values to what they actually mean for the patient’s body rather than presenting them as isolated numbers on a grid.

A prescription label is maybe thirty words long. The medicine name, a dosage, a frequency, and sometimes a warning about food or alcohol. It should be the easiest medical document anyone receives, and yet research from the AAFP shows that over half of patients get the dosage wrong and nearly a third misread the frequency. Part of the problem is that prescription labels are written for pharmacists, not patients — “take 1 tablet PO BID with meals” means absolutely nothing to someone who’s never seen those abbreviations before. The other part is that patients managing multiple medications are juggling four or five of these labels at once, each with different rules, different timings, and potential interactions nobody warned them about.
